Asus Maximus VI Formula listed on Newegg

Thread Starter
Hey all, so for anyone who's been stalking the Asus Maximus VI Formula and waiting not so patiently for it's release (been checking online every 8 hours since August 1st), Newegg just created a product page for it. Pricing appears to be $319.99 US + shipping (Canada, Newegg.ca) or $299.99 + shipping (US, Newegg.com). Links .Ca Here and .Com Here. No Stock yet but you can auto notify yourselves so you're among the first to know when they're in stock (I'm sure you know this already, but I had to say it just because)! Didn't see this anywhere on the forums yet so figured I would post thumb.gif

Happy gaming!

If I end up not liking it too much over my current hero board Ill probably sell it anyways. Its mostly a gimmicky board in my opinion but I always gotta try new stuff so I got one anyways:p

Should be here today, did overnight shipping, so ill be able to try it out. I hope it doesn't dissapoint, I love the hero so far, hope its the same for the formula.

lol was just looking at them again on newegg to see if more came in stock so i can get a second for the gfs rig, they put the price up to 329.99 greedy newegg has been doing this to a lot of products lately, they might just lose a customer over it im thinking.

My main goal for this board is (hopefully) the better onboard audio (aside from needing an 1150 mobo to complete my rig). My local computer shop doesn't have them in stock yet, but I'm hoping they'll be cheaper or at least same price so I can buy there instead.. Also much easier if there are any problems with board to drive 10 minutes and let them deal with it. Going to water cool in ~6 months so the included vrm black is nice, although I worry that it is not copper and would have to be changed anyway..

When I load newegg.ca it still shows me $319.99?? Anyway, let me know how it is when you get it! thumb.gif

might actually cancel that second order and sell my first board, got my first one fired up and testing, really seems like a gimmick board overall. Its basically a toned down version of the extreme, and people who want the overclocking abilities it has would most likely just get the extreme instead. The plastic "armor" seems pretty gimmicky also lol, and the crosschill is nice to have an included waterblock but i think EK makes better blocks anyways:P take that how you will, its just my personal opinion that people who are looking for a overclocking board would be better off getting the extreme or getting a gigabyte board instead. Or get the hero, since it is basically the formula but without a few extra features.

Hmm I have been reading about a few people saying the same things.. I will definitely give the hero and extreme a second and more in-depth look, as well as the gigabyte boards. Thanks for the feedback!

if you want a good rog board but dont do extreme overclocking and dont really care about the plastic thermal armor on the formula, you should look at the hero. If you do plan on doing extreme overclocking and cooling, just skip the formula and get the full on top end extreme board imo, i will probably be selling/sending my formula back really.
