Ambitious idea, good luck! Although I admit that most of the extra hardware I have I usually sell and you may find that most of guys have squeezed just about every last point they can out of the hardware.

For me, to get old hardware that most people think of junk I go to the local e-waste recycler. You can often get stuff for free or seriously cheap (less than shipping a free piece of hardware). After some talking, I have one that even allows me to wander around their piles of motherboards and GPUs to pick out anything interesting. Usually a waste of time since its mostly OEM motherboards but everyone once in a while you can find something.

Go on eBay and fine dozens of s478 procs for $5 or less smile.gif I have a few I need to go through when I get time, some rare ones too.

It would help a lot if you had some decent points on HWBot as well as proof of ability - there is a lot more to benchmarking that just getting high clocks - you have to have the right stripped OS installs and understand how the software works to get the best out of it. Some of us have been at this for years and still not 100% on the best software config for each one of the 30+ benchmarks
