Anyone know if its the PSU that is the problem? my previous card was a 6850
Sorry if this comes across as snarky, but I just want to clarify. You have a PSU that has only 1 PCIe 6 pin connector.
You had a GPU that only required one PCIe 6 pin to work. Now you have a GPU that requires two PCIe 6-pin connectors, and I'm assuming you plugged the one PSU connector to your new card, rather than the two that are required to power the card. And you are asking why the card does not work. Is this correct?
If that is the case, of course, your card requires both PCIe 6 pins to work. If you have any spare molex cables from the PSU as noted above me, check if your card box comes with a molex to 6pin, or you'd have to go out and buy one. If all your PSU cables are in use, you'd have to buy a new PSU.
