3 INDEPENDENT DISPLAY HELP

Thread Starter
is it possible to get 3 independent displays with only 1 graphics card? if so.. can someone direct me where?

i have tried a galaxy mdt gt610 and it hasnt worked as 3 independent ones, but as 2 as a merged panoramic and 1 independent.

The computer itself only recognizes the screens as 2 screens and not 3.

Can someone shed some light without having to sli?

Thank you,
Wilson

Some cards will do only 2 monitors, some three, some even 4.
It's really not included in the published specs for the cards, so you have to do a lot of searching to find out.

All nVidia 6 series cards that aren't rebrands will support up to three monitors. All AMD cards down to the 5 series should support it as well.

Would be good to explain how you are trying to connect the displays up.

For a non-gaming setup I was able to get PLP monitors working with my graphics card AS WELL AS onboard graphics. I used both side by side.

However, even when not doing surround, I had some errors in games. Blacklight Retribution thought that the amount of vram available for the onboard graphics was insufficient to play the game, even though I was running the game on the center display hooked up to my graphics card.

hope this helps.

Would add, on the low end not all AMD cards (5 Series+) will do 3 displays.
