Which watercooling parts retailer and/or shipping company for shipping to Canada?

Hey all, I am looking to order a bunch of parts for my watercooling setup online, and before I order I am wondering if any of you here have had any positive or negative experiences with specific retailers or shipping companies, particularly with regard to customs/border charges, as I have hear cases where people have been burned badly by this before.

I am looking at a fairly substantial order, and of course do not want to pay for it plus half again or more is customs, as that would not go over well with the wife!

Of all the websites that I have looked at so far, I seem to hear/read the most positive about frozencpu, and they also definitely have every part I am looking for and the best or equal prices as well, so I would like to order from them unless there is something I am not aware of about them in regard to shipping costs?

The main thing from what I am interpreting from ready many peoples' experiences is that depending on the shipping company, customs charges vary wildly. It seems from my reading that UPS is probably the worst for shipping charges, but I would like to know, is there any one company this is the best for customs charges? Or is there any specifically that I should avoid? Any input on this is hugely appreciated as I definitely do not want to be increasing my budget basically for nothing!

Thanks smile.gif

If your based in Canada, why not just order part's from http://www.dazmode.com/? Daz is an awesome guy and does a lot of unboxing and builds on YouTube as well.

I was originally looking at dazmode.com, but they only have a portion of the parts that I am looking to get, plus their quoted shipping was actually a fair bit higher then from frozencpu, although of course without the risk of customs charges. To be honest the reason I've been hesitant to order from daz is that I didn't want to pay for shipping from two different places, which actually more than doubles shipping costs.

I've dealt with Daz as well and my experience has been good. I got what I ordered and got it quickly. However, I'm in the same boat. A number of items I want are out of stock on his site or just not carried. If anyone has had experience ordering WC components from the US, I'd like to hear it. My biggest worry is unexpected charges at the border, not even so much the actual shipping costs.

Shipping estimates that I have gotten from Daz and other places have all been somewhat comparable, and I'm not super worried about it as it's an amount I am aware of ahead of time and can budget for. But charges at the border I have heard of being as high as 75% of the cost of the product (that's the quoted maximum duty from UPS, may differ with other shippers).

It does certainly seem that some shipping companies consistently charge more in duties than others, and any feedback people maybe have in that regard would be super!
