This. To really make your build stand out, color coordinating components is essential and pretty fun.

surely you know what parts you are going to put in it, if not go chose some and pick the case that best compliments them

You should pick your components first, and then worry about a case. There are a ton of options you can choose from, with every manufacturer having their own set of colors for the most part. I would first get a mobo and match your colors around that!
