They're the same price so the decision breaker is going to be which one is more silent.

I'd say the first one, could be wrong, but it's a shorter card, so the air needs to be pushed less far.

They're the same price so the decision breaker is going to be which one is more silent.

The second card is better the (2761 version) compared to the first (2760 version).

The first you posted is a straight reference card, the second is a EVGA design with a longer PCB, 1-6pin and 1-8 pin PCI-E power connector, with more heatpipes and 5-phase power (vs the 2760 with 2x 6-pin PCI-E power connectors, 4-phase power.

The innards are different for cooling, so I expect that the second one will run cooler, quieter and be better for OC if you plan to.

Also if you're looking for a card in terms of how quiet. I believe the MSI TwinFrozr Gaming GTX 760 would be one of the more quiet, if not quietest GTX 760s available. It would only be $10 more then the cards you shown and has a way better cooler, unless you plan to SLI.

Quote from TPU "]Noise levels in idle are greatly reduced and make the card almost inaudible while not gaming. Once you put serious load on the card, the fan will ramp up a tiny bit, but the difference is almost not noticeable. Gaming-noise levels are simply amazing; most gamers will not even hear the card during gaming, making this is the first card that can compete with the famous super quiet ASUS GTX 670 DC II TOP. If you are looking for a GTX 760 with low noise output then stop looking. Simply buy the MSI GTX 760 GAMING as there is simply no other choice."

Thanks for the feedback! Out of the two I posted I'm leaning towards the second one. And ty for mentioning the MSI TwinFrozr Locke, I'll have to check that out.

MSI GTX 760 uses 100mm fans, EVGA ACX uses 92mm , ASUS GTX760 uses 80mm fans unlike the ASUS GTX 670 which uses 92mm ones
