Do you have to send in both sticks to RMA?

One of my 4 GB G.Skill sticks died a couple days ago. Completely dead, tested with one stick in at a time, with that one in the system won't boot, with the other one in it's fine. Also made sure it wasn't the slot because I put the working stick in the same slot.

So, I just wanted to know if I need to send in both sticks to RMA or just the dead one? They say on the RMA site to send in both "If possible." But would they still accept me only sending in the dead one? I have 3 GB of Kingston Value ram 1333 Mhz laying around that I can use if I send in both sticks, but it's hard enough running games off of single channel 4 GB, I don't even know if 3 GB would be enough to have a decent experience in games.

I would send both in since the ram is matched. If you absolutely can't handle playing games for a week or two then send only one.

Send both in. That way you get a matching set back.

That sounds like a good reason to send them both in, I'll do so.

Thanks guys, I'll just run my PC off of the extra 3 GB of Kingston ram I have while those are in RMA. Hopefully I have better luck with the next set, this one was purchased in December 2012.
