I would like to know, what are your impressions of the headphones? What other brands/models would you compare them to?

I ask as I have been strongly considering getting a pair of the Q701's (prefer white, but 160 is a great price!), but in all the many sets of cans I've owned, I've never once used or owned AKG :S Just for reference, I use Grado PS1000's and GS1000's for studio work, Grado RS1's/SR325's/SR225's, HE400's, ATH-AD900X's/AD900's/AD700X's/AD700's/M50's for pleasure/gaming....

Thanks!

Honestly, I love it. Its a killer headphone for gaming, since I play CS:S, BF3, TF2, and many other games. This headphones gave me a really good advantage. Sound stage is excellent for gaming. But I use them to listen to music also, and they are not that bad, lack in bass a bit, but I don't mind. I have it paired with a soundcard that has an amp, and man, I can't go back to basic headphone/set anymore.

For comfort, its a little uncomfortable at first, but you'll get use to it (I did!). I love the auto-adjust headband since it fits on my head perfectly. The earpiece is very comfortable, got a little ache, but it was a 12 hour gaming session lol. Way better then the AD700 IMO.

I only tried the AD700, before I got it. I'm starting to get into headphones, so this was a better buy. Sound way better and a bit more comfortable then the AD700 IMO.
