A good stability test program?

Thread Starter
lately i was using aida64 and prime95 64 bit edition to check my laptops stability.

but even if there is no problem in test, my pc has some blue screens.

then i checked memory, memtest86+ finished with no problem.

formatted to fresh windows 7 ult. 64 bit, installing, but still i am not so sure about how to find that sneaky problem.

LINX? OCTT?? which program makes complex things with my pc to create problems? not just heating stuff...

The best way to test stability is to use the programs you use normally. My aida64 stable overclocks will blue screen in games sometimes. It takes a while, but its the best way.

Curious, how long did you run Memtest for?

Well after you formatted, did you get any more bluescreens? If not, then it was a software issue that caused the bsod before hand probably. Also, are you checking your temps while stress testing? o-o, although I doubt it's an over heating issue if it didn't crash while running prime95.

You should run Memtest for a lot longer than that if you want to be sure your memory's not at fault. Run it again for a full day and then post back the results.
If that doesn't show any errors, then your memory should be fine.

As for stress testing it, run Prime95, choose custom, for the min and max FFT choose 1792, put in 90% of your ram in the max ram usage option, and run each FFT once.
