so i just got my alienware m17x and its got a i7 4700 its core clocked at 2.4. anychance of clocking it up without a problem?

Rumor is the Intel Extreme Tuning utility might be able to overclock the 4700MQ, by personally I wouldn't. Its a laptop, that tiny heatsink is designed for what you have, nothing more.

That's a powerful gaming laptop, enjoy what it is thumb.gif

Agreed. I tried to mess with my cpu on my laptop a while back but it's super limited, also the heat dissipation wouldn't be enough for the chokes on the motherboard as well the moar juice the hotter the mobo and cpu get and alienwares get hot enough while gaming, unless you cool it correctly tongue.gif
