Can't figure this res/pump combo out..

Alright this thing has me stumped. Not how to operate it, but how to configure it the way I WANT it to operate. I bought this as a pump/res/top combination, but I want to connect the top and the reservoir separate from the pump. Is there a way I can do this?

The setup is; Koolance COV-RP400(Pump Nozzle & Reservoir Base) + Swiftech MCP350 DDC3.1 + what I can only assume is a Koolance reservoir. The only thing is that this reservoir was listed as a 60mm x 100mm reservoir, but I can't seem to find anything from Koolance that is 100mm. Only 120mm. Could be an older model, or it could be a different brand res.

Anyways, can you guys help me out with this?

Thanks!

The top has to connect directly to the pump since it is a replacement top for the DDC type pumps. If you wish to separate the reservoir from the pump top, you will need a separate 60mm Reservoir Fitting Base such as this. Then unscrew the reservoir body from the pump top, remove the acrylic partition from the pump top and install a G1/4 stop plug in the pump top. Take the reservoir body you unscrewed in the previous step and attach the replacement Reservoir Fitting Base and voila, you have a pump with the COV-400 pump top attached and a separate reservoir you can place wherever you wish in the case. To make this a little clearer, look at the instructions for the Pump Top and Reservoir Base here, especially the section titled "Reservoir Installation".

Correct.

I had just realized what I needed to do in order to run these pieces separately a few minutes before you posted this. Once I really took a good look at my hardware it became obvious that it would not be possible to run the configuration I wanted. It's okay though, I figured something else out. wink.gif

Thanks though!
