7970 Compatability

Hey everyone!

Probably get this a million of times in this part of the forums but just have a question on compatibility.

I initially thought / remember reading that any graphic card that had their respective brand logo near the PCIE bus connector is classed as a reference card. However I thought my Sapphire HD7970 OC Edition w/ Dual X cooler used a custom PCB.

Pretty much looking for confirmation on which one it is, as in Aussie it's about to hit summer again and I figured I'd get back around to finishing my full loop before my PC turns into a heater that could defrost Antarctica >_<.

Added some pics to hopefully help.

Cheers!

no way around it. remove the stock cooler and take a pic of the front side showing the core, vram, vrms, etc. post the question and pic here . . .

It's a Dual-X, which means reference PCB, you're good to go for fullcover waterblocks. smile.gif
