Is my PSU big enough

I am looking to do a custom water loop soon but want to make sure I have a big enough power supply. I have a corsair Cx500M with a i5 655k at stock and a XFX HD-677X graphics card. I am looking at putting in a MCP 35x pump and aquacomputer aquearo to control it. extereme's psu calc says I only need about 375 with a mcp 355 pump. This seems a little low. I'll buy a bigger one if needed but would prefer not to have to spend the money on one.

You dont need more then 550 watt for a system with one video

But the Corsair CX is not really a good PSU its very basic so it does not belong anywhere near a system thats going to be overclocked

Yeah I know it's not the greatest but it was on sale and I got it for like $30, will be $20 once I get my rebate. I will probably replace it in the future but for now I think it will be fine then. Thanks for the quick reply +Rep

The PSU calc. is even overestimating.

W/C and modern CPUs and GPUs pull very little power. Heck, my rig barely pulls 550w by itself.

That corsair unit will be more than able to handle your rig and more smile.gif
