OC Pentium 4 2.8 HT GHz

i wanted to OC clock my cpu and i needed some advise my multiplier is 14 and my DDR is 266 i wanted o know wats the best to clock at. the default is 200MHz. i also wanted to know wat to put the cores at or leave them at default. also its hyper threading (should i disable it?) using vista please help me as best as you can

i would not disable the HT .. have you read the stickys in this section on how to overclock if not id start there.. then after you read that post up what ever questions and concerns you may have

well as above dont turn off the HT, well i have a 520J and i was able to get it up to 4.2Ghz but at 250 FSB you should get 3.5 Ghz and thats was with DDR2 4300 RAM {266} same speed that you have

I clocked mine 220 x 14 to start and went up by 2mhz until the 230 x 14 I am at right now. My core voltage is @1.55V (default was 1.525V). Memory is also 1:1 or 460mhz. Voltage +1 in bios. Not 100% sure what it started at. I could go higher, but with my cpu running 50%+ 24/7, I don't want to have to worry about heat issues. I hit 55*C @100 cpu load with the stock cooler. I never tried with HT off, but I would suspect things would clock the same, and run slower while multitasking.
