Yeah don't use de-ionized distilled water, use plain distilled water. The deionization may affect your copper blocks and copper rads.
If all your rads and blocks put copper in contact with the water, it is smart to use silver kill coil. If you have ANY nickel plated blocks, which are less common, silver would not work then. This is why silver is fine for most users, because it is friendly to copper.
