Building a Computer Game Themed Mod

Hi all,

This may seem like a silly question but I don't want to go through all the hassle of working on a computer build only not to be able to post it somewhere.

I want to build a computer theme base on the game Metro Last Light. This will be a scratch build using three ammunition canisters dissected and connected to form the case. The rest of the mod will center on the aged and worn look of Metro Last Light including the use of a gas mask canister to hold the USB hubs. Various painting will be used to identify it as Metro Last Light casing (i.e., the big yellow M used on the game, artwork from various factions).

So . . . to bottle the genie . . . building it is not the issue, my concern is posting it on forums. Am I breaking some sort of mod protocol. Should I get permission from the game creators before I post such a mod log?confused.gif

Any help would be appreciated . . . Thanks

Fen

lol ridiculous. You don't need their permission, unless you plan to use copyrighted material on the case itself and sell it afterwards.

Anyway the idea sounds great thumb.gif Why not put an entire gas mask on the front of the PC? If the middle of the canister was the power on button as well.. that would be simply nuts biggrin.gif

Just my two cents. Looking forward to your build ! wink.gif

Thanks much . . . figured as much. Just checking so I don't slapped by the administrators for doing something wrong. Never thought about incorporating the entire gas mask . . . may have to look into that thumb.gif

Cheers
