We are a couple of guys with an interest in hardware and design that connected while discussing what we wanted from a small form-factor (SFF) computer case. We felt that the available cases were either too big, too limited, or too lacking in the aesthetics department. So we set out to design our own SFF case, with input from the community of hardware enthusiasts at [H]ardForum. After months of R&D, through numerous iterations, then a successful prototype crowdfunding campaign and product testing, we've arrived: the NCASE M1 is ready for production!
Now is your chance to own the first ever case developed with direct community involvement - by and for the users. Your support in bringing this project into reality will help show case manufacturers that this kind of community-oriented development can work and result in better products.
If you supported us during the prototype campaign or during development, thank you!
The NCASE M1
The M1 is a mini-ITX, small form-factor case that doesn't sacrifice compact dimensions to support high-end hardware. Thanks to its innovative design, the M1 is able to support some of the most powerful PC components available, while still allowing tremendous build flexibility in a surprisingly small footprint. With its refined, understated aesthetics and quality all-aluminum construction, the NCASE M1 is the premiere choice for the discerning enthusiast.
Yes, that is one main focal point. Either you get it during the crowd funding event, or there is a good chance you don't get it at all. I plan I having a 4770k(watercooled), 7990 and a 750 psu in there.
I swore I saw this on another crowd funding website and they were only releasing 200 of the cases. Oh well, I'll be getting one in black and trying to get my brother to buy one as well.
Still love this little ITX beauty. I wish them all the best, and sincerely wish I could justify another case. My sole criticism is use of aluminum vs steel. Otherwise, for what it is, it's an incredible little case and an outstanding design. Hats off to the folks at [H] for a great job.
(Were it me, I'd bump up internal case height by 15-20mm (from 240mm to 255-260mm) with the extra space all below the 3rd expansion slot. It would cost one more liter internally, but give room for a slim 30mm rad and 25mm thick fan on the bottom. This allows an ATX PSU, slim bottom 240 + slim roof 120 rad, single slow-turning 92mm exhaust fan, watercooled GPU and CPU, an SSD in the long GPU cutout space, and a slim ODD in its normal space... all in a 13.3 to 13.6L space.)
I'm pretty sure i've read somewhere that lian li only requires a minimum number of cases which is 200, minimum means lian li can produce more than that.
Didn't the email they sent to those on the early shipment lists ask to be discrete about the campaign until the 15th so that people get a chance to get their deserved early numbers?

Other people pretty much spilled the beans once the emails were sent out. Necere has posted that the IGG campaign has gone live on the [H] forum thread, so everyone should know by now.
I already got my order in. Chose black, but damn does the silver option look great too.

Well, it seems our backers couldn't contain their excitement and have let the cat out of the bag: the M1 production campaign is live!
We sent an email out with a request to stay mum about it for a few days to our early backers, so they could get first crack at the limited number of production cases. But within minutes the news had spread across the forums, and the pledges flooded in. It seems people are very eager indeed!
We know it's taken a while to get to this point, and we appreciate your patience and continued support. We hope and trust that the end result of our efforts have been worth the wait. Thank you!
That is one pretty amazing case, but I'd have to give up $500+ in just equipment just to be able to use it. I think it would have been perfect if they also made a case identical to it that supported the PSU being mounted behind the motherboard.
Hmm why can't Lian Li just make it into one of "their" cases, mass-produce it and sell it across the world as a Lian Li case? Assuming NCASE sells them their design obviously.

I'd be all over this if it were designed more towards full loops and allowed multiple hard drives.
