MSI GTX 780 TWIN FROZR or Asus GTX 780 DirectCu II or wait for MSI GTX 780 Lightning ?

Hi guys,

I'm not into manually overclocking a gpu, I just want one of those because the coolers are supposed to be so much quieter and more efficient than the ref cooler, which is very important to me when i'm gaming.
So in terms of noise and performance, which one of those do you think I should pick ?
The GTX 780 Lightning hasn't come out yet, I have no idea what this card will be for when there is GTX 780 TWIN FROZR already, do you think it's going to be much more expensive than Twin frozr/directCU ?

The Lightning is probably going to cost around the same as a EVGA Classified GTX 780. However, it'll apparently be a three fan design. I personally will say screw MSI after what they did trolling everyone in the Lightning teaser news thread here on OCN. But that's my opinion.

Between the Twin Frozr and the DC2, I'd pick the Asus DC2 as the better choice. It has a fair bit better cooling design than the Twin Frozr design, and looks better imo. It also should be quieter overall.

Take it for what it is,
But some MSI TFII cards used to have fan issues. I had that problem with my 560TIs. I RMA's the cards and got good ones. A lot of people had that issue.

Now, maybe they improved the quality. I'd say try to grab the card with the most durable fans.
You might want to look at EVGA GTX780 ACX card, seems really nice too!

I may buy a 780 around X-mas time, and it will either be the Asus DCU II or the EVGA ACX..
