i need your help about two evga gtx 680 classified

Thread Starter
hi for all there i have motherboard p8 z68 v gen 3 and I7 2700k working on 4.4 ghz also i have two evga gtx 680 classified.my power supply is cooler master silent pro 1000W.
the problem is when i start to over volt both of cards above 1.33V and overclocking also 20 sec later everything crash and graphic card fans start to work at 100%speed then only way is to restart pc on button.if i will overvolt under 1.3V everything is ok.
what do you think?what will be the problem?is possible that the motherboard cant supply the cards on that high voltage and crash?
my motherboar have just one 8 pin connector, maybe is time to buy another maybe whit two 8 pin connectors?
help needed
also when cards crash under 1.3V never block everything mean after the overclocking crash i can start everything again whit no problem......
i am sorry but i know when cards crash if they are overclocked too much but i thik above 1.3 the motherboard cant simply supply the cards.....

You are going to damage those GTX 680 by running the voltage at 1.3V - that's WAY too high. As in not a little too high, WTH too high.

Anything more than about 1.175V is asking for GPU degradation, and for that I'd be running fan speeds at 85%+

I had to come back and edit this message after cooling off. LOL. Where did you get your overclocking advice from? Was the 1.3 volts just an experimental guess of where to start? You're going to blow that card up, if you haven't already. Put that voltage lock back on before you hurt yourself.

the 1.3v is just experimental lololol, but the card never go up then 71 degree and man we are talking about the classified whit evbot natural.
i am sure that the card can handle that voltage they are beasts man!!!!.
but ok i understand that never past too much voltage and i respect that, but the problem is not in voltage bump but in my motherboar i thiks so,she cant handle whit two cards running at so high voltage in the same time.
again man i know what i am doing.......just playing whit them a little bit never more then 5 min on that voltages.
from my experience the card are very happy whit voltage about 1.26 never temp going above 67 and great over clocking benchmarks and cool off my friend.....grettings from dragan

You do what you want, it's your money. You've been duly notified about the voltage being way out of range. Classified or not.

The non reference cards are not the same as the reference, the 680 Lightning straight out of the box on the ln2 bios is at 1.26V stock & goes up from there. The classified is probably similar.

gagac1971 - if the cards are trying to draw too much power from the board through the pci-e slots the wire to the pin in the corner closest to the mem slots/pci-e slot might be slowly burning. Does your board have a supplemental power plug for the pci-e?
Single 8 pin EPS plug is fine for the 2700k, as long as the psu can supply the power to it that chip should be able to run at whatever it's max clocks are.
As far as the psu itself is it an older model? My 3 year old + hx1000 can't handle 2 x high clocked 680s anymore, around the time they hit 1400mhz & start to pull about 1000w from the wall (bit over 800 watts to the rig) I get full rig shutdown. When I swap out the PSU, they keep going.
