Water cooling loop for a noob

Thread Starter
So Im looking to water cool in a single cpu loop. (right now i have the hyper 212 +)

I have about a $200 budget so i figured one of those XSPC Raystorm 750 RX240 to get my foot in the door. Would i get better value if i buy seperate parts? (ie would they last longer, perform better?)

I am looking at changing out my old case (haf 912) to either a CM Storm Stryker (my dream baby) or a Haf Xb, I was thinking the xb because im going to be moving into a dorm soon and the stryker is a rather large case.

Does the XB support a 240 rad?

I am only able to get my 8350 to about 4.4ghz on this air cooler before it starts to run pretty warm. How much better is a custom loop?

Is it really true those dyes/fluids destroy your pumps and blocks? or is that blown out of perportion due to poor maintenance?

The only other issue i have is , do you know of a XSPC kit with a non bay res? The XB only comes with 2 5.25" bays and i would like to throw my DVD drive in it.
