HD 7850, DX9 performance has tanked...

My 7850 has a problem, DX9 performance has dropped a lot. Here is a comparison from a baseline I set about a month ago. "FX-8350 Stock", the 7850 is stock also(@900MHz). "Stable 4620", the 7850 is at 1GHz. "This Computer" I set everything back to stock for troubleshooting, 7850 @ 900 MHz. The DX9 complex results have tanked, I noticed it playing World of Tanks, fps dropped to 20-30, even on standard graphics. I am about to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, any other Ideas? FWIW, DX11 results increased a bit (~5%) OK I reinstalled the drivers and same thing... how could performance just drop like that?

I have a 7850, and I downclocked it to your clocks (900Mhz/1200Mhz), and got 268.6 on the DX9 Simple Test and 92.1 on the DX9 Complex Test (a lot higher than yours it seems).

I use Windows 8.1 Pro Preview (x64) and the OpenGL 4.3 Beta drivers (ones right before the 13.8 beta).

Ya, originally i was getting ~300 on simple and ~100 on complex, simple hasn't changed much, but complex is now under 40 FPS... frown.gif I am using Win 7 x64.

Have you ever messed around with tweaking programs?
Did you change flipqueuesize to 31 00 binary (1 decimal/string value) at any time, in HK local machine/system/CCS/control/video in one of the 000x/UMD keys?

No, never messed with or heard of those settings.

OK, I reset the BIOS and did a full re-install of the OS, still have same problem. I guess that means it must be the 7850. I don't think it could be the MoBo, could it? Still odd that the DX11 results are fine and DX10 aren't far off. Guess it is time to find a new Video card, I think I will go for a 7870 or 7950.
