i'd get z87x-d3h for oc and RAM without big heatspreaders so that they don't limit your choice of what air coolers fit etc

That's really nice, except Gigabyte Z87X-D3H or ASRock Z87 Extreme4. Definitely worth the extra cash.

Thanks, will keep this as a base and improve on the above mentioned, will be looking at buying around 6th September, if I think I can increase my budget to 800 pounds then, what should I do?

Update your graphics card to a Sapphire 7970. They are selling for $300 US here.

He's in the UK man, good luck getting one under $500usd converted, different market, different price ratio's between products etc. One size doesn't fit all for buying electronics across regions
