I would say the Samsung 840 non-pro, price to performance looks good. The 840 Evo might be worth considering along with the OCZ Vertex 450 and maybe the Plextor M5 Pro.

Sorry man,but we can say for sure nothing happened. If you buy any of this new SSDs you will not feel a difference.
4k reads, the most important thing in day to day use are still low and they are not following rising of other numbers.
I will probably buy next SSD when somebody manage to put DDR3 cakes instead of NAND cakes in it.
1000$ for 128gb of faster storage in world,ALWAYS!
P.S.Please don't says anything about losing data,i never turn off my pc.And if we stay out of electricity we all have UPS that can last 10 minutes, its enough to save image.

I would wait for Samsung EVO,it has the biggest 4k reads that i saw till now.It will be out soon and you will probably be in position to buy 250GB for 250$ in one month.

How does the EVO compare to the 840 PRO?

Yeah, just wait and see what the new sammy can do. I installed the new 4.2 Magician with the Rapid software tab included but not yet activated for the 840 pro series.
