Hi there,
I now have two 3 TB external drives where I store all the data backups of family videos, photos, docs, work projects, music, etc.
So I maintain one HD to write the data to it, and to delete one that I don't need and then once in a month or so, I connect two of these drives to a PC and run a SyncToy to sync the data between them, so the same data is on each of the HDs.

These 3TB WD Geeens are pretty slow and syncing data also takes a long time, since the slow drives and USB2 connections.
I already have 2 3TB HDs, so if I buy 2 more, i could build a RAID off them.

Do you think that if I get a NAS/Storage station to put the 4 or 6 HDs in it and run a RAID10 would save me time to work with data and also be the at least same data loss secure like I have now (with two synced drives)?

My main goal is security from data loss (no way to lose all life worth of family videos and photos), then speed of writing/reading and then easier to manage data and access it via home network (LAN and WIFI).

Is RAID10 good for my needs?

Can you suggest me the solution that firts my needs the best?
