Is there an equivalent of this monitor in today market?

Hi everybody,

My friend has this 3 years old monitor : IIYAMA PROLITE E2607WSD-B1 (Sorry, for the french link).
It's a 26", 16/10, 1920 x 1200 and 2ms response (also speakers but I don't need them).

I find it nice and wanted the buy something like this, but now I'm a bit puzzled because it seems like the market changed a lot.
I have the impression that I either have to choose a 24" to have a good response time or a 27" to have a good resolution.

I will use this monitor for daily use, gaming, watching movie but also for amateur photography.
I was looking at some 24" but i don't really like the 1080p resolution.
Do you think I should go Qnix or X-Star, like a lot of people here?

If someone could help whit that it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
