How stable does the overclock need to be?

My 7900GT is at 680MHz core, 890MHz memory, fully stable. Idles at 40C, load at about 50C (higher if my temperamental exhaust fan decides to not turn on). I just can't see anyone hitting 732 on the core stable.

600/1000 eVGA 7300GT overclocked 600/1000.

Stable since i joined the forums.

Use ATI Tool to stress test your overclock. Yellow dots means it's unstable, even if ATI Tool itself doesn't pick them up.

Lol, hadn't seen this before - I get some pretty good clocks out of my 7900gt but run pretty sedately at 650/1740 after I changed a few things in the bios (sooooooo sick of overclocking it every time I restarted).

I currently only have a 3dmark link but can provide anything else if needed.

No longer running xp though, 150 marks off at present with Vista but I haven't really had a decent muck around yet.

Hokay, I have a BFG GeForce 5500FX OC (256MB); you guys think that'd be ok to flash to the 5700?
~Mav

EDIT: Wow, I'm retarded, I posted this in the wrong Thread, my bad.

I have an EVGA 7800 GS. My oc is 673/800 stable, I could probably go higher on the memory, but I just never tried.
