Not sure what happened but I went into personalisation and the aero themes were all greyed out as if its deleted. Nothing was changed...

Any ideas? headscratch.gif

Perhaps the "Themes" service got disabled.  It should be set to "Automatic" start (to open the Service Control Manager, press [Win]+[R], type "services.msc" and press [Enter]).
Another place to look: Control Panel\System\Advanced System Settings\Advanced (tab)\Settings (under performance)\Visual Effects (tab).  Make sure the last option in the list, "Use visual styles on windows and buttons," is checked.
Another possibility is that your video card driver quit working for some reason, and the system has fallen back to the VGA video driver.

I hope that one of those helps you resolve the problem! thumb.gif

Some reasons were already mentioned above. It culd also be that the power settings was changed to something that would give more importance to performance so that would automatically set the displays to lower levels thus the Aero theme will be disabled. it's easy to fix it though. Just search enable Aero themes on windows search. smile.gif
