planning on this:

nzxt h630
4820 or 4930K
evga dark
16 gig ripjaws z
780 x2 sli
1000w seasonic
1 ssd and 2 hds and br byrner
3 monitors and 3 usb devices

Cooling either:
1) corsair h110 with 2 added gentle typhoon fans for push pull all mobo controlled.
or
2) black ice sr1 dual rad, phobya UC2 block, ?pump, ?tubing, ?res
or should i use one of the rads with the integral res?
?GT fans with mobo control

I am leaning to the h110 for simplicity since I am only cooling the cpu.
I think I need water for a 4930 but I imagine a 4820 doesnt through off that much heat and a noctua d14 might be just as good.

I cant say anything about water cooling but are you sure you want that motherboard if you consider the problems with EVGA's first X79 board?

granted evga had some flakey bios, so i am hoping to see the early reviews before I pull the trigger. maybe i'll get the RIVE or the RIVFormula. But the question remains about the cooling. What kind of fans do you have on your h100 and what temps are you getting with the 3930K? volts? Clocks? Many say they are able to go 1.4 v and 4.6 ghz 24/7.

I have Corsair SP120 Performance Edition on my H100. I don't overclock atm and the it idles around... well the cores are at different temps. 38,31,27,31,41,33 but in load i think they never go over 55 C.

tnx. i may go for the h110. how audible is it? can you use a free decibel app on your iphone/android to see how loud it is at 1 foot away?
