KM switch - j5 Wormhole and gaming?

Hey all,

I am after a Keyboard and Mouse switch for my desktop and laptop. A KVM switch with DVI would be nice but more than I want to spend.
My monitor has multiple inputs so I will just manually switch the source on the monitor.

My questions is about the j5 JUC100 Wormhole switch. This Guy

At first I was going to get one of these cheap guys and not use the VGA (laptop only has HDMI): TRENDnet Switch

But then I learned about the j5 JUC100 switch and it looks like a good option as I can setup both screens to use at the same time or I can still manually change the monitor source to get my laptop on the bigger screen.

My main concern is how good the j5 JUC100 switch works and if there are any issues when it comes to gaming.
- Does the switch induce any mouse or keyboard lag?
- When in a fullscreen game, will moving the mouse all the way to one side of the screen switch the mouse/keyboard over or will the fullscreen game stop this from happening?
- What if the game was a FPS in window mode?

My main concern is having the mouse and keyboard switch over during times when I don't want it to. With the cheap TRENDnet, it will obviously only switch when I physically push the button. The j5 switch uses software to control it, where as the TRENDnet is hardware controlled which is generally more reliable.

Well considering that a TrendNet basic KVM switch is like $2 cheaper...

Pretty much, I guess you have to decide what you are most comfortable with.
