Today I have a question for you!

I would like to edit this slot panels so that they are as air sealing,
but the design when viewed from the rear of the case is still present.
What and how would you change it ?
Myself am not entirely conclusive hence my question !
Would love to hear what you think !

To block the airflow on those plates, I think I would either insert a blank to block the holes finished in red to carry on your accent colour. Another option would be perspex, so you can have a nice glow from your rig lighting.
(It looks like the blank could be a simple rectangle made to fit snugly into the indent of the existing plates.)

I like the perspex idea.

Food for thought: Do you want the cool part of the design pattern to be on the outside where
you will (probably) very rarely get to see it (i.e. the new cover part would be mounted on the
inside of the existing covers), or should it be visible on the inside through the window (i.e.
the new cover thingies would go on the outside and the pattern would be visible on the inside).

On one hand I think having the pattern visible on the outside is probably the more normal way
of thinking, on the other hand having it on the inside would actually allow you to see it a lot
more often in daily usage.

As for colour: You seem to have a thing for red accents, I think sticking with that is not a bad
idea.

I hope this makes sense. biggrin.gif

I guess if you wanted to keep the slat effect from inside & outside then you could cover the blanking material with a second plate which repeats the cut-outs. (this might not be neccessary if you use clear perspex as your blank material)

A lot of work for a pci slot but then this is OCN after all.

Hi donkidonki and alpenwasser, cheers.gif

Thanks for your opinions ! thumb.gif

What do you think of this proposal that I stick about it from the outside scotch tape and from the inside egg crate foam?
Would that be a good solution for you or probably not?

Here i have made on Image without egg crate foam.

Of course, if that feels right for you.

I would just be careful once you fit any cards that the foam won't choke airflow to any components that are close to the plate. Other than that, I don't see any issues and it will obviously help with the sound insulation.

Pretty much this. Since you already have quite a bit of foam on the inside it should fit well with the rest
of the build.

Hi donkidonki and alpenwasser, wink.gif

Thanks for your opinions ! thumb.gif

Today I experimented with Testa tape doen´t look good,
have a CD transparent cover plexi i cut out the the plexi blended looks stupid.
The only thing that looks good, you can see in the second picture, only a cover of egg crate foam will look good.
I once egg crate foam adapted and put into it, that was only because he is very airtight everywhere
at a time over it and because no air can get out, think this will be the final solution.

Update :

Today I am also busy with the seal of the side pieces.
Again, do not want to "lose" air.
Therefore, I bought isoloation tape to seal the sides as air sealing.
Air sealing is also partially soundproof which is therefore a nice side effect.

In the first picture you can see the isoloation tape at the sides you can see on the right and left of a small strip.
