Driver trouble after BIOS flashing

Thread Starter
Hi guys!

I flashed a new BIOS to my 7970 (sig rig hasn't been updated yet) in order to hopefully unlock the voltage.
I used this BIOS and flashed my card with it, which worked out fine. However, now I find that I'm unable to install any kind of AMD display driver. Catalyst just stops the installation at that point (but it does install the other components). I've thoroughly cleaned my system from earlier drivers - but still, no luck.

The card I am using is an HIS IceQ X² 7970 (non-GHz Edition).

EDIT: Tried installing drivers with the second (stock) BIOS now. Driver installation still fails.

EDIT 2: Using the new Beta drivers worked!

EDIT 3: But actually didn't. After rebooting, a message popped up saying "no AMDgraphics driver installed or not functioning properly". GPU-Z shows me this: The card is, apparently, literally running at 0 clock.

I ask you all to stop now and call me a retard for all I really had to do was tick the goddamn "enable voltage control" box in MSI Afterburner. Don't even need to flash the BIOS! mad.gif

Try different firmware for other brands... one of them will do, or try the ATI firmware.
Or go all in and edit the card BIOS - find TechPowerUp Radeon Bios Editor, for ex.
