Need a heaphone extension cable cord for my Dt770, need help

Hey guys, I'm using a DT770 and the cable on this thing sucks because the decided to make it stretchy by making it loop around itself the same way a spring works. Anyways this sucks because it makes the cable shorter when it isn't stretched and i can't loop it around my desk without needing to apply tension for it to expand and reach my head.

I need an extension cord to hook up to the DTs on one end and my sound card on the other, the reason i'm looking for help with this is because i don't want to buy a cable with reduces audio quality. I'm not sure about the specifics but i'm under the DT jack and My SoundCard port (SBZ) have high quality finishing materials to aide with better sound transfer (i could be wrong of course but that's what i would expect)

So anyone know of any high quality extension cords i can buy that will not reduce audio quality? Or is that gold plating stuff just gimmicks like thos MONSTER HDMI cabled?

will this work?

Looks decent. But a few things to keep in mind is the length. Too long and you get signal loss, due to resistance in the conductors. Too thin and you get even more resistance. Too thick and you get interference from that(no clue to the english word here) and don't run it by any high V cables due to EM interference.

10ft seems a bit long. But should do the job.

Also: gold plating on connectors is to eliminate oxidation and corrosion, as gold does not do just that. Gold is a slightly inferior conductor when compared to copper and silver, but vastly superior to oxidized metal and corrosion.

Its application is however rather limited if you don't live in a moist and wasm environment though. And say in the cold north is a fairly useless detail. It's bound to increase the longevity of your cable though. Especially if it is a silver conductor

Edits: cellphone spelling and added info.
