Could always grab a Plantronics GameCom Commander if cost is no issue. Love the ones I have. Study design, changeable plugs, serious sound dampening without it being that active stuff, 7.1 Dolby USB sound card and volume control on one of the cables. Also not one of those flashy headsets like what Razor and other manufacturers puts out these days. Still, isn't cheap at $269 on Amazon and NewEgg.

I know I'm reviving a dead thread. But I wanted to express my enjoyment with this headset as well. I have the CE model that I bought for $150 at PAX Prime 2013, and for that price point it was a litteral steal. So far the headset is amazing, it does take a little bit of breaking in to achieve good comfort from the ear pads. But they are real leather, so it should be expected they need a "softening" period to get the best results.

Overall, the headset is stunning. Great sound quality, response, microphone has great pickup, and lastly the passive sound damping is amazing. I can see why a large portion of Professional PC gamers use these at tournaments. Outside noise just does not break in! I flew from Seattle to Tokyo with these on, an I hardly heard a sound. Best headset I've owned by far.
