[Tweak.DK]Zalman Reserator 3 Max review - Page 2

Did they do an actual sound test? it's pretty easy to strap a loud high CFM fan to a poor cooler and have it look good temperature wise. I know he gave his opinion on the sound but that isn't worth much.

The fan doesn't look removable at all. Assuming that it accumulates dust in between its fins and fan under-section, how do you clean that since you don't have proper access to that part????

These results are skewed to favor the product. Why use an old i5? Note also used Noctua NH-U14S. Why not the NH D14, because "S" stands for single heatsink. The D14 would have crushed the results. I might addfrom first hand experince the NH D14 is silent, not a whisper of noise.

many reviews are using the NHU14S because noctua wants the newer unit reviews to advertise their more current project. For example, this review. Noctua specifically sent the U14S instead of the D14H

This will be in my system soon. While everyone's hatin' I'll be enjoying liquid cooled overclocking with VRM airflow. wink.gif

Looks cool, but as usually results are achieved using high rpm loud fan and as usually you pay 20€+ more than you would pay for high end air cooler. Not to mention there are more things to go wrong with clc that can also destroy components in your pc when things go wrong.
Same old song - as air coolers go, there is not much difference in the temps on the higher quality ones

So i will give the same old song here i keep preaching - who cares if one is better in temps by a small margin but sounds like a tornado?

Give me a few extra degrees and silence - that's why i love Noctua.

Most of the designs now are so much alike. - you can only get better temps by being bigger and faster fans, that relate too more noise thumb.gif
