I just dont want to jailbreak my iphone just to tether. Have a work aircard for that xD

Ah, gotcha. I use a rooted Galaxy S4 with the stock firmware.

I think it's ridiculous that they would charge for tethering. As long as you don't go over, who cares how you use the data? I don't, but...AT&T does, for whatever reason. Well, it is their money-grubbing company, so they can make the terms whatever they want I reckon. Still doesn't make it right.

I remember back when the unlimited data was really unlimited, and I tethered whenever I needed to with no hassle from AT&T.

Anyhow, I will continue to try and evade them with tethering. I don't use it very often, but when I need it, I will do my best to have it work without them knowing.

I'm amazed some places don't charge for tethering tongue.gif. The unlimited data assumes an average data use for the pricing; people use tons more data tethered to a PC.

I used 7.4gigs in one month streaming HQ video on my Unlimited ATT plan. A normal month for me is ~5gigs.

ATT is supposed to throttle at 5gigs, but I didn't get throttled or get the throttle message until I hit 7.

Verizon charges for tethering but you can use many apps that get around that. Foxfi for example lets you create your own hotspot from your data service and you don't have to pay extra for the tethering. Works very well too.

I currently use WiFi Tether for Root Users, along with other ways to minimize the chance of AT&T noticing. I have heard of many people getting a message from AT&T that they have been detected as tethering, due to their data traffic. Hopefully I stay unnoticed.

Back up all of your pictures to the "cloud"

Every time I take a picture, it automatically saves a copy to my skydrive account or dropbox account. not only is it good for having a backup, it also eats data alive.

Yea I use dropbox (19.2GB account for free) But you can make it to where it only backs up over wifi as well.
