Not likely. They want it to stay Canadian, and it probably will. There are plenty of Canadian companies and investment groups that would be preferred over any foreign investor.

But I completely agree. If bb enters android, or even windows, support for office 365, and bring their security and unique phone design to either platform, they'll be back in the game for all fronts again. Might need to improve their name because I wouldn't be surprised most people think bb to be a "business phone "

The vast majority know blackberry is Canadian, and based in Waterloo Ontario. Partly because the engineering programs at waterloo is highly competitive, and partly because people like to make fun of blackberry. It's been in the news in the past few years quite often, most people will remember when one of the founding fathers of RIM tried to buy a NHL team, needless to say hockey is pretty big up here in Canada.

Everyone knows BB is a business phone, and most love it for that reason. Though they've been trying for years to get rid of that notion with their "hip" commercials.

How do I know? Lived in Ontario for 10+ years, and did 3 years in waterloo while in university.
