possible cheap alternative for you..

like $40-$50 and it works really really well, and it's NVIDIA Certified.

I run it with my 550W PSU and I would sell one to ANYBODY that needs reliable PCI-E power

well your GTS only draws 130watts peak so it'd be perfect. Still, get a new PSU, that thing is going to be nothing but trouble.

it will NOT run your PC at all.. it has it's own 120V power cord that passes through the case to power ONLY your video subsystem, and then ONLY TWO PCI-E ports.

As Paradox said, you still need a real PSU. Dont skimp, evrything on your board requires clean, reliable power.. fluxuations and spikes KILL STUFF DEAD.. you have a hot video card.. you will never see anything close ot what it CAN do without feeding it properly.. dirty power will ruin performance as well as frag your gear.

$100 is a cheap insurance, as well as increased performance from having headroom for heavy loading if required.

yes they will both work, and you won't need that PCI-E psu with one of them
