My SNES and N64 still work fine. No way that in 2033 you would be able to say that about the xbone if M$ had gotten their way.
We already have Steam, so I don't know why people are whining about "wahhhhhhhhh we lost the future because of teh trollzzzzzz wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
Perhaps in its original form it was uneeded to an extent but the whining and moaning cause them to remove it entirely. Sure it didn't need to be ALWAYS online, but now many useful features will not be implemented because of it.
Also it would have given MS a large incentive to increase their support infrastructure which would have worked out the best for everyone.
I was mainly referring to the lost of the kinect as a standard feature

So MS is going to come into my house and take away my 360 when they stop support for it? I might lose out on the MP but that's better than losing out on everything including SP.
The licenses say it's expendable, but in practice it's only
the always online software and hardware that actually expendable and won't last, I'll be able to play the SP of Forza 4 (ie. what I mainly play) in 20 years for sure assuming my 360 hasn't died...If they had always online on the XBO still you could hardly say the same thing.
I'm not complaining about always online. That was a bit over the top for the digital games they should just implement a periodic check so if you load a friends game and aren't online the PASS expires, then when you reconnect to it re-activate.
The reason you refer to the kinect as a glorified webcam is because DEV's have failed to use it to it's potential.
If it was included on every box day 1 that would have brought incentive to push the boundaries to enhance the gaming experience instead of the typical party games.
Now it's just going to be another dust collector on the shelves and nothing is going to change..

Cheaper and less bricks (no Kinect 2.0 and no power brick [internal PSU]).
There is still no room for an internal power brick.Edited by PappaSmurfsHarem - 8/13/13 at 8:21am
