ok,

The main issue people have is that rumor became fact on the Internet and all of sudden MS were spying on you.. The truth is via meta data all companies are spying on you but just for marketing data which I might add is still a huge privacy issue we are yet to tackle as a global community.

Are MS a green, clean corporation ? Only through loose regulation. They are as bottom line as the next company. They do have serious ties to the US gov and a not so transparent agenda that goes beyond the company walls and comes from the real power people (were talking ludicrously rich and powerful shareholders with many connections and strong ideologies who make decisions and choose CEO's on their core beliefs)

---

In the end its upto you who you trust with your digital postcode and life but for now those who want a new xbox but not kinect, they may think they have won? I would argue though that we ALL lost , we now cant enjoy the full experience without a nagging doubt over surveillance and any future technology will rightly have questions / paranoia raised.

something sig worthy?

I don't always feel technology has been for the sole benefit of humanity as it often takes with one hand that it gives with the other .. if you like it is the apple in the garden of eden.
