upgrade how do I clean ssd for reinstall

upgrading cpu and mobo and os to 64bit win7
have magician 3.4
read quick format will do and magician has error secure ersse
WHAT do I do??????????????

Before of the way they work, I believe a quick format is good for breaking all the links from bit to bit to rebuild files.

EDIT: You can also find a program that will write all 0s or 1s to it, but that wears it out.

Secure erase. Eliminates everything, unlike just formatting and only takes a second or 2.

I think a format sounds fine
Ccleaner can write like above but glad you tokd me

just quick format for a reinstall...anything else is typically useless to do.

No point in secure erasing 99% of the time. Especially for a wipe and reinstall.

One exception I'd make is for SandForce. They don't recover full performance after TRIM so it's better to do a secure erase.
