From my findings so far, that 4.2/4.3 sounds like the results that were being got before these folks found to lower the uncore(to 35 I read).

This is with ZERO experience on my end mind you, so take it for what it's worth, just reading up and preparing to haswell.

That's a very interesting point youve got there... can you send any info on where you read that? I'm hoping to be able to get to about 4.5 ghz and not have to worry about temps but that will require almost 1.36 vlots for me im guessing at this point frown.gif

And you know maybe I'll return it, but microcenter is pretty far and idk what im gonna tell them haha, can you just return it no questions asked under 15 days? or does it have to be broken?

thanks guys, this is a pretty active forum group biggrin.gif

What is your Cache frequency? Set it to 35 before you overclock to make sure its not the bottleneck.

VDROOP at max helped out my overclock also.

in the asus vi hero club we have two people that havent had to go past 1.25 to get to 4.8 stable, me and one other person(club is still small tongue.gif )

and then ive seen people who need 1.3 or even more volts to get to 4.2-4.4 its weird really.
I'm one of those people that needed 1.3volts at 4.2 but to be fair I have been using a lot of auto settings and letting the UEFI do most of the work. I'm going to run IBT tomorrow again this time setting the voltage myself. Also, hottest core temp recorded during IBT was low 70's. Still pretty new here or I would link the thread with my screencap. Cooling with Seidon 240 push/pull.
