Even without considering the length and depth of both games, TW1 is still a better RPG overall. I prefer it many times over TW2.

I wouldn't say that. I didn't read all the books sure (still read many) but I did take my sweat time with almost everything, talking to everyone about pretty much everything, doing the majority the side quests, reading the index, trying to explore every nook and cranny ect. I really don't see how someone could spend much more time on a single play through aside form dying a lot in combat or just idling.

I played TW2 in much the same manner so IMO the times are about as comparable as they are ever going to get. I really would not call TW1 a 100 hour game no mater how thoroughly you sift through the content.

Well I'm not sure what we're debating on here, because we can't prove it either way without proper and relevant data. 2x as long vs 5x as long? How can we really tell. But what we did agree on is TW1 is for sure longer.

You can play both games in the same manner, but if one has much more depth and more content than the other on a single playthrough, obviously the former would be much longer. Thus it's also not a good argument for comparisons.

But honestly, both great games, we're all stoked for the third.

Don't feel bad, lol. Until 3 days ago I hadn't even played TW2, needless to say I haven't left the house since.

So much want.

I just hope they didn't ruin the game by making it open world.

I think they're priding themselves on the fact that it's open world...why do you think it would ruin the game?

He say's in the beginning, "vast open world."
