I see now why i said corsair used seasonic units. Because of my previous hx520w which was indeed a seasonic.
Now that we talk about it. How decent is CWT?

CWT or Channel Well Technology is a major OEM

They tend for the most part to be decent to good but have not really made super high end units

They like every OEM also have their fair share of not so good to crap like the platform used in the Corsair CX

So they are alright for the most part

Haha i thought as much.
But still it is just hit or miss for the not knowing? But still my standard of buying units above the average price of a manufacturer will mostly work.

Even price is not something you can go after as Corsair tend to overprice a bit

The same thing can be said for Enermax and Antec despite they both have some really really good units i almost never recommend them becasue they are overpriced

The main OEM for Antec is Delta Electronics and Seasonic to a lesser degree

Enermax make their own units under their name but are for the most part a ripoff

A good tip there is many of the Lepa units are rebranded Enermax units sold cheaper

As said the Cooler Master V is the same PSU as the Seasonic X and Platinum as well as the Corsair AX760/AX860 just cheaper

So its an a huge maze knowing who makes what for who

Whats good and bad

And whats cheaper rebrands of the same thing

its ok. I know building a rig needs some planning. I didnt really ask communities before when I was building mine. I thought all cards can be water cooled but heck my cards dont have waterblock. and I just keep buying and asking the retailer here but heck he dont know alot also. I ended up buying new case, PSU, after few months. If only I would knew that LGA 1155 ends with 3770k I would have jump into x79 builds, but it was because of my fault. I didnt gather much info before....

But its good to hear you almost done.

Quiet a bunch of homework to do on PSU's it seems smile.gif
But mostly i will just take the slight overprice because like i said when you buy the higher priced ones: hx750 or ax750 you should be good. But what you said the v700 being the same as the X and ax or seasonic and corsair is a nice plus thumb.gif

Always do your homework before buying, been there done that.
This is the first time i gather info from others too. I always build my own. But like i said this one is not mine and on a budget. I usually go all out and buy in parts if needed. Like first board and cpu. Some time later another few parts. Better to wait a bit then to buy the wrong stuff.

And rofl at the retailers. Some of them are dumb as ****. I have one nearby my house who just reads the stuff that is on the box. And he says ohh yeah that one is great. Then you ask: why is that other one more expensive. Yeah that one is better ..... eh-smiley.gif
