Blast from the past: X-Men Avengers or Marvel Ultimate Alliance

THIS IS NOT ABOUT WHICH IS BETTER
I had a game a long time ago that I played with my dad. Now he is on Black Ops and Borderlands, and I'm on basically every other game ever made. Black Ops is repetitive (except zombies) and Borderlands gets old fast but that's a rant for another time, possibly never. I was going to get the game we played together a long time ago but I can't remember which of the two it is. I remember it was four player and I remember deadpool. I remember it was either at the end of the original xbox or the beginning of the 360. I've looked into both and the gameplay of the first one sounds like I've played it before but I'm not certain. I know Avengers doesn't run on 360, so if it was Avengers, is Ultimate Alliance multiplayer local and worth buying? Any other multiplayer local games worth buying?

Yes, Marvel Ultimate Alliance has local co-op, although if you don't own a copy I would recommend picking up the Gold version if you can afford it (it comes with the DLC characters, which I believe are no longer available to download as DLC through the regular game, but used copies go on Amazon for about $55). There's also a sequel out there, about $35 for used on Amazon.

Diablo 3 is coming to Xbox 360 in September, and that has local co-op (and no online requirements or real money auction house). There's also the Lego series of games, if you're a fan of the source material the games are based on (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and a Marvel game coming out later this year).
