Sleeving PSU cables

Hello, i have the EVGA 1000 G2 PSU and today i received my sleeving from Nils at MDPC. So I unsleeved my 8pin CPU cable and found out that it had a capacitor on 2 cables, it was there also in the motherboard 24 pin and the VGA cables.. it was a bit sad because that ment that I could'nt sleeve it and had to buy a extension cable and try to sleeve that. Nils told me that I could just cut them off. I actually have 2 CPU cables and i'm going to cut the caps off one and test both to see if there is any problem.
My VGA is a 8pin to a 6+2pin/8pin but its really ugly:

and I was thinking how do modders avoid this crap? Do they use extension cables on the inside that connect the the supplied GPU cables(in my case the red ones) in the back?
Sorry If I sound noobish and confusing..

Wow, I am surprised no one has said anything to you yet. What I have done was cut them off. You will not see any problems at all.

I just got done sleeving all of the cables that came with the g2. I had to cut and resolder the capacitors so they were easily sleeved. Ill post pics later, maybe they will help you out.

Thanks, I'm a bit new and want to learn more about soldering, but the concept sounds easy. If you can add a few pictures of where you soldered them that would be great!
I'm having helluva problem removing the pins where the capacitor pins are also connected to...

Yea it's a bit sad. Since you are a NZXT community rep, do you know if the NZXT sleeved extension cables when depinned, are normally sleeved? not like this, a 24pin extension i just bought, but i am going to return it and try to go to microcenter and secretly depin a modright kit i saw online.

Its a bit blurry, basically the heatshrink is tightened by those 2 side metal pins and I have tried to stretch them out, but I don't want to cut it as i will return it.(maybe)
thanks both of you
