Okay...I would save up for a PS3. The 360 has nothing state of the art about it. It's just a xbox with better stats. Faster processor, better graphics, etc. The PS3 on the other hand, has a backwards compatibility with almost every PS2 and PS1 title. While the 360 has a list of xbox games that are playable on the 360. The PS3 has blu-ray. 50GB on one single layer, can you say "Big Games?!?!" The 360 wireless stuff is running on ghz, while the PS3 and the Wii have bluetooth with all of their wireless stuff, which means longer range, and won't have the probability of interfering with cordless phones (which might happen). The PS3 (60GB version) has 2, yes 2, HDMI ports for a full high-def experience. The 360, well, doesn't. The PS3 and the Wii has a fully free online mulitplayer service, while the 360 is still charging.
u dont know what ur saying, "xbox with better stats" yea ok, same with the ps3 fan boy, "big games" no game developer will need 50 GB to make a game, Halo3, Crysis etc. only use 4 GB. so sthu about it. xbox has a increasingly growing game list compatiblity so again be quite. Custom GHz is better then bluetooth, thats why they didnt use it, and it doesnt interfer with phones. GHz has the same, if not longer range. Xbox Live will crap all over Wii's and PS3 online gaming, they suck compared to live and thats why they charge, with the money they get, they make prizez etc. free online doesnt get better cuz its free. HDMI isnt the only Hi-Def port noob, the 360's port is the same, if not better, and theres no gain from using the second port because it will decrease performance on the GPU, xbox does the same with a ethernet cord, Xbox and Wii are superior to expensive, late, supplyless PS3. talk about Hype, with the Price of the PS3 i could buy 2 Wii's and 2 Games.

HD-DVD's performance is the same as Blu-ray and its cheaper to create, so which do u think is more ideal, saving money, or not?

Looks like I'm the only firm believer in blu-ray. Seriously, the 360 is just an xbox with better stats. You guys must not get it. They both have DVD drives that do the same thing. The 360 has a better processor, I'm repeating myself now.

The PS3 is a step above the PS2. The 360 is almost on the same page as the xbox.

This is all in my opinion. Don't shoot me down. I'm stating what I think.

Okay, well we all agree the 360 has the best cpu! and there is no point in arguing over blue-ray and hd-dvd lets just wait and see. It can go both ways so once one is decided the price will drop over 50%. With games Xbox IMO has the better titles, but you can argue that the 360 has the best online games and PS3 has the better 1 player games. I can see how they believe that. But if u want good multiplayer and good one player without blowin a hole in your wallet, then go buy a Wii($250) and a 360 premium at Micro Center(www.microcenter.com) for $300!!

I agree that xbox live had a huge lead over the other online services. But who knows, the tables can be turned once enough people get the PS3's.

1)Is Xbox Live Video any good? It's gotten some great reviews compared to the playstation store but is the quality any good? Mind you i game on some 10 year old CRT but still, if i ever hook it up to the HDTV we have downstairs, will it look amazing?
It will look amazing.

2) Think Gamestop/EBgames will let me play Forza 1 on an Xbox for the heck of it? You guys make it sound pretty good and I wanna give it a shot.

They may have a demo set up and let you play a used copy. I love that game. You can get it for like $15 now.

3)Good steering wheels for the 360? I have 2 that are multi-platform(GC,Xbox, PS2) I'd love to keep those since it'd save me the inital cost.

The new M$ wireless wheel is supposed to be superb and it comes with PGR3 force feedback edition. I just can't stomach the $150 pricetag or I would have one.

4)Xbox HDD upgrade? 20GBs seems a tad small for my taste.

No upgrades in sight yet. I need more GBs M$!!!!

Exactly, it's all opinion but you're stating it, and arguing it, as if your opinion is the fact. It's not. If you honestly believe the PS3 is better than the PS2 but that the XBOX360 is the same as the XBOX, then you don't know your facts or you choose to ignore the facts because you're a fanboy.

The truth is, the XBOX360 and the PS3 are much better than their predecessors in many different ways. Just like a PC from today is better than a PC from just two years ago.

You can say new things are only "newer versions of the old thing with better stats" but that's oversimplifying it quite a bit. Yes, a new PC still has pretty much the same components but does that make the improvements any less significant? No, it doesn't.

I'm not going to argue about Blu-Ray and HD-DVD because neither is proven yet. From everything I know, I prefer HD-DVD and from everything you know, you prefer Blu-Ray. There is no solid reason to go with one or the other right now. It's all personal opinion.

Seriously, if you're going to try and come across as an unbiased individual who is only stating an opinion than you shouldn't make it so obvious that you prefer Playstation and look at the facts instead of just saying an XBOX360 is basically the same as an XBOX.

If you have enough money to buy a PS3, you should get a Wii360 (a Wii AND a 360!, you won't touch your pc for months!)

I must say that I agree with Thenut. It's all down to personal preference really. In my opinion, the 360 has the better online service - yeah, you have to pay £40 a year for it (dunno what that is in US, sorry - I'm guessing around $60?) - but for that money you're paying you get a whole world dedicated to online gaming residing inside the 360.

£40 a year works out at £3.33 per month - which is an extremely good price for endless hours of fragging on GoW, games on Fifa 2007, etc.

If you want a PS3, go for it - but there's not near as much players on that as Live, and in my opinion I dont think there will ever be. If what you're saying about the PS3 is true, ImmortalKenny, then wouldn't the PS2 have had more players than the Xbox Live service for the original Xbox? You had to pay for the Xbox Live service just as you have to do now - the PS2 was free, and the PS2 had a bigger game choice. So ask yourself, why did so many people choose Live?
