I absolutely agree w/ you. However.. There are def ppl on OCN who won't buy AMD because they don't like them (bad drivers, no physx, no shield support --I may be alone on that last point). Typically.. I'm w/ you, just grab an AMD for cheaper. I'm all about price/performance, however, I recently purchased an Nvidia Shield (it actually suites me very well), and therefore I need an NVIDIA card. (Granted.. I didn't purchase this card, I've got a separate rig w/ a 650 ti boost I got for $105 on the egg to run the shield, but you get my point)

What I'm trying to say is yes... 7970 would be a better choice for most, but not all. (ppl who already have a 680 who want to SLI??)

(Also, this 680 is arguably the best 680 gtx on the market... and w/ MSI being an incredible brand... I'd choose this over the 7970's that are going for the same price.)

in for one.

I figured since I wanted a gtx 760 and that was $250, and a gtx 770 (which is just a slightly better 680) is $400, the $50 upgrade from the 760 fund would be great.

gonna be replacing my old gtx 460 with this.
