Laid static bags ontop of my graphics card PCB, how to tell if it shorted or not?

Hey guys,

I recently swapped my 7970 out for a 780, so I had my 7970 sitting ontop of my desk. I was going away for a couple days and didn't want it to leave it exposed, so I went to the store to get some static bags. Turns out they weren't wide enough to fit in the card, so I just laid them ontop (the outside touching the pcb. Unfortunately, I read up after that static bags keep the charge on the outside, so I'm scared I damaged my card. But I installed my 780 already so I don't want to plug it in to test it out. Is there some way that I can tell that I shorted it?

Thanks!

It would be faster for you if you just sucked it up and plugged it in rather than ask here.

I don't think there's a way to tell unless something got burnt (which seems unlikely). I also find it unlikely that the card would be damaged if not powered on. Many people mistakenly place their hardware on the outside of static bags before they install components with no ill effects.
The real issue is people that place their motherboard on a static bag to test it before installing it in a case (because they think it's non-conductive on the outside as well).
