ok i should be able to keep below that, its just the tmpin temps that seem to get a bit high, around 80c last time i tried 4.5, should be a bit below that now with the new case

Unless you have direct airflow on the VRM's don't expect 80c to lower much, if at all.

Ok she passed IBT but then failed prime after 30 secs @ 4.5ghz (22.5 x200, 1.36v, llc- ext) I think she will need a tad more vcore - temps seemed good tho during IBT tho.

I thought I'd try 4.4ghz with a slight fsb bump with my current voltage of 1.36 in bios before i try 4.5 again so I'm running 205fsb x21.5, IBT pass and now running prime - temps are so much better with this new case and fans, its a bit loud but guess thats the price you pay lol

Any way I'm gonna let this O/C run prime for a few hours and I'll report back

Cause you used Standard using IBT. Change that to Very High or even Maximum if you want to check for stability.

ok so she failed prime after a hour with 1.36v so I bumped it up to 1.38v and shes stable, IBT pass, Prime pass for over 3 hrs, OCCT 30mins Pass.

Temps all good so I reckon we can easily hit 4.5ghz with those temps @ 4.4?

I'll leave this set up now for a few days then try 4.5ghz again.

Damn that voltage is high. I need 1.368v(vdroop) with load to get 4.4Ghz stable.

What's your LLC set to ? Extreme?

Hmm I can remember you vid being rather low ? Maybe that helps you? Either that or it may be better to try o/c the fsb and lower the multi?

No Regular. On idle the voltage is at 1. 41v but at load its at 1.368v. Extreme LLC voltage doesn't play out that well with the mobo. Try a mix of multi and fsb like how I used.

Ok my llc is set to extreme so that may be why the voltage is high. I'd prefer to keep the voltage as low as poss but maintaining stability so I'll have a bash at setting the llc to regular with the current settings 1st.

I'm tempted to just up the fsb to take it to 4.5ghz ?

Do try it. Use the same fsb and multi as I did.
